WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (Oct. 27, 1998) Watkins Glen International President Bryan R. Sperber has announced that Bully Hill Vineyards will be the new title sponsor of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at the 2.45-mile upstate New York road course.
In 1999 the Bully Hill Vineyards 150 will be combined with the Lysol 200 NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division weekend and will be held June 25-27. The event had previously been held in August and in 1998 was held in May.
Bully Hill Vineyards previously sponsored the Watkins Glen event for the Featherlite Modified Series, a part of the NASCAR Touring Division.
"As Watkins Glen continues to be known as New York's biggest motorsports attraction, we are delighted to form a partnership with a local, New York-based company like Bully Hill," Sperber said. "With Lysol's continued support and sponsorship of the Lysol 200 NASCAR Busch Series and now the Bully Hill Vineyards 150 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series both running on the same weekend, racing fans will have an opportunity to witness some of the most competitive and exciting racing in the country on one weekend."
"Bully Hill Vineyards has enjoyed our relationship with Watkins Glen," said Lillian Taylor, president of Bully Hill Vineyards. "We are especially excited to be involved with the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, one of the fastest growing racing series in the country.
"Combining the Bully Hill Vineyards 150 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and the Lysol 200 NASCAR Busch Series races is sure to provide fans with a tremendous weekend of exciting racing."
