TJ Bell Knows His Way Around Bristol Motor Speedway
* Bell at Bristol...The O'Reilly 200 will mark TJ Bell's second Camping World Truck Series start at Bristol Motor Speedway. Bell is a quick study on the "World's Fastest Half-Mile." In only his first start at the famed Tennessee short track, Bell started 10th and brought home an impressive sixth place finish.
* #11 Team Riding the Big "Mo"... After a bumpy start to the season, Bell and his #11 Red Horse Racing team have really turned things around in the last three races and are riding the wave of momentum. Bell started in the top-13 in all three events. He earned a 15th place finish at O'Reilly Raceway Park and brought home his first top-10 finish since California when the series traveled to Nashville just two weeks ago.
* From Late Model Driver to Tire Specialist...Kyle Shook is a jack of all trades on the #11 Red Horse Racing team. He serves as the tire specialist, catch can Man on race day, and a mechanic back at the shop. Long before Shook was making air pressure adjustments, he was wheeling his own Late Model at Hickory Motor Speedway. Raised under the glow of the lights at Hickory Motor Speedway, Shook grew up watching his dad race late models. After enjoying a stint behind the wheel, Shook joined the NASCAR ranks with Morgan Dollar Motorsports. He started out cleaning floors and taking out the trash but before long Shook was turning wrenches and gaining experience. In November 2007, he joined RHR and has assumed several different duties over the last two seasons. He says Bristol Motor Speedway presents a new set of challenges for him. Since everything happens so quickly and a driver could hit pit road at any moment, he has to work twice as quick to adjust the tire pressures and then be ready for the fuel stop.
TJ Bell on racing at Bristol Motor Speedway "I am really excited to run Bristol. I love that track. You can drive it as hard as you want to and you really can't overdrive it. It's a physically demanding race but being inside the race track gives off such an energy. It's a great race for the fans and for the drivers. We will see a lot of side by side, hard racing and that's why I'm really looking forward to it."
Crew Chief Rick Gay on Bristol Motor Speedway "I am looking forward to Bristol for two reasons. The series that I cut my teeth in is racing right before us and that should be an exciting show for the fans. The other reason is because we are going to a place where TJ did so well last year. I know he really likes the track and that's half the battle at Bristol. We want to get TJ another good finish on Wednesday night and continue to keep the momentum we've built the past few weeks rolling."
Equipment Information The #11 Red Horse Racing team will compete with chassis # 129 in the O'Reilly 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway. This is the same chassis that Bell raced at Dover where he qualified 15th and finished 23rd.
