CARMICHAEL AT BRISTOL: Ricky Carmichael will be making his on-track debut at the short track of Bristol Motor Speedway.
CARMICHAEL ON TRUCKS: Carmichael's last race came at Darlington Raceway, where he finished in the 24th-position after his Monster Energy Chevrolet was caught up in another competitor's wreck. So far this season, Carmichael has scored one top-five and three top-10 finishes.
CARMICHAEL ON COMPETING AT BRISTOL: "I'm really exciting about racing at Bristol. I've never been there before, so I know our practice sessions are really going to be a learning experience for me. We were having such a great race last weekend before we got caught up in that wreck, so I'm hoping we can take that momentum to Bristol, make it out with a strong finish and put on a great show for the fans."
BEHIND THE WHEEL: Crew chief Doug Randolph, a native to the Bristol area, has chosen chassis No.008 for Carmichael to pilot at Bristol. This Monster Energy Chevrolet was last on track at O'Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis and had previously seen action at Martinsville and Michigan.
CREW CHIEF'S KEYS TO SUCCESS: "Bristol is a great track for the fans because you get some of the best racing we see all year. In order to get around the track successfully, you need a good handling truck that turns in the middle of the corner, a clean race and, in our case, a little bit of luck."
MEET THE DRIVER: Fans can meet Ricky Carmichael and his Turner Motorsports teammate James Buescher on Tuesday, August 17th from 3 -- 5 pm at Volunteer Chevrolet (400 Winfield Dunn Parkway, Sevierville, TN 3786)
