CRAWFORD RETURNS TO BRISTOL

Round Ten of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series returns to Bristol Motor Speedway for the third year, with a Saturday night race under the lights. RICK CRAWFORD won last year's NASCAR Slim Jim All Pro Race at BMS, setting a new record for 200-lap race average race speed with a time of 1 hour, 20 minutes, and five seconds/79.867 mph. The All Pro race ran just prior to last year's Truck race. This year The Loadhandler 200 will run 106.6 miles or 200 laps, with posted awards totaling $325,084.

Bristol Motor Speedway, located seven miles southwest of Bristol on US 19, is one of the 'regulars' in NASCAR racing. BMS is a .533 mile high-banked concrete oval. The track has 36-degree banking in the corners and 16 degrees on the straights.

RICK CRAWFORD remains in second place, out of 21 drivers, in the Cintas Rookie-Of-The Year Point Standings, with 98 points. He has three top ten finishes and one top five finish to date in just nine of the 26 races in the series.

Rookie Crawford's record in the nine NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Rounds so far this year:

Crawford started sixth at the Pronto Auto Parts 400 under the lights at the new Texas Motor Speedway, and soon charged up to third place where he ran the rest of the race in the lead pack. It was Rookie Crawford's career-best finish in the Truck Series. Crawford's turquoise blue #14 Circle Bar Motel & RV Park Ford sported a Texas flag on his rear truck bed in honor of his sponsor located in Ozona Texas. It was another good finish for the crew and his new Crew Chief, ROLAND WLODYKA.

The Loadhandler 200 Race broadcasts live on NASCAR Truck Racing Network 7:45pm EDT and on ESPN TV at 8pm EDT.

This past week, RICK CRAWFORD was one of 12 invited Ford Truck drivers who were guests of Ford for a special Ford factory and Dealer tour in Dearborn MI.
