JACK SPRAGUE, NO 16 CHEVY TRUCKS SILVERADO, QUALIFIED 6TH, FINISHED 3RD:
"This was a great night for our Chevy Trucks Silverado team. It almost feels like we won finishing third. We were good but we didn't have any thing for Skinner (Mike Skinner, Toyota, race winner). We had a night go right for us; we stayed clean on the track and had a good stop. We just had everything go our way.
"On that last restart, I got to Todd (Bodine, Toyota, finished second) but it was going to take contact to get by him and I just wanted to finish the good run we had going. He protected his position so I just settled in there and brought the truck home looking pretty clean with third.
"It is pretty unusual here at Bristol to have a long green run like we did the last third of the race. If there had been a caution where all the leaders pitted, one more little adjustment wouldn't have given me a little more off the corner but still, I am happy with this run. We will take it and build some momentum off of it for the rest of the year.
"I am happy for Skinner getting the win, he has been so close so many times the past two years so he really deserved a trip to victory lane. He, Hornaday and I had some great races in the early years of this series and we can still win in this series as tough as it is now."
KYLE BUSCH, NO. 15 ditech.com SILVERADO, QUALIFIED 9TH, FINISHED 5TH:
"Every time I come run this No. 15 Silverado in the truck series, I have such a ball racing with these guys. I am glad to see Mike Skinner get a win, he is a long-time veteran in this series and it is good to see him, Ron Hornaday, Jack Sprague and guys like that still getting those wins. We had a pretty decent run. The truck drove pretty good. We made some adjustments to it on our one pit stop but they didn't really go the way we wanted them to. The truck was really good in the beginning but not quite as good there at the end. But it was fun and I think it will help me here in the Busch race and then the Cup race. This is a tough track so the more laps I have to learn something about it is a plus."
DENNIS SETZER, NO 46 CHEVROLET SILVERADO, QUALIFIED 10TH, FINISHED 16th:
"We had a pretty good run going until we blew the right front there with about 10 laps to go. When we hit the wall, we hurt the truck pretty good so we were lucky to hang on and get the finish we did. Just disappointing because we were having a decent night. We were pretty tight in the center at the start of the race and Eric (Phillips, crew chief) made good adjustments but we were still just off a little. Just take this finish and head for Richmond."
DAVID STARR, NO. 75 SPEARS MANUFACTURING SILVERADO, QUALIFIED 13TH, FINISHED 8TH:
"It was quite a dog fight out there tonight but our Spears Silverado was pretty good. We started out a little too tight but we made some changes on our only stop and got a little too loose. We were able to hang in there and get us a solid top-10 so we are pretty pleased with our finish. We are at least heading forward where we are supposed to be. It was a good run for us."
RON HORNADAY, NO. 6 GM GOODWRENCH SILVERADO, QUALIFIED 17TH, FINISHED 14TH:
"This just wasn't our night. We ran good, but the race went so long without caution that we never really got a good chance to make a move. I had a top five truck tonight, but we had a tire go flat on that last restart. What a shame for the GM Goodwrench team. It has been that kind of year for us."
MIKE BLISS, NO. 06 MRD MOTORSPORTS SILVERADO, QUALIFIED 25TH, FINISHED 11TH:
"I had a good time, it was fun. It is always fun to finish Bristol and watch the wrecks as you go by them. We didn't qualify all that well and that hurt us having to go up through the field. I guessed a little wrong on the setup but we are still pretty pleased. I thought it would tighten up more than it did, but it was fun and I am looking forward to running a few more races this season.
