No. 9 AISIN / AISIN AW GERMAIN/ARNOLD RACING TOYOTA TUNDRA NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Team
Shige comments on Atlanta Motor Speedway:
"The Germain/Arnold team is ready to race in Atlanta. We had problems in Fontana and want to have a solid run this week in the No. 9 AISIN /AISIN AW NASCAR Craftsman truck. The schedule was so quick and the temperatures on the track were totally different in California from practice to qualifying then the race. The schedule is very tight in Atlanta for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck race and I want to be prepared. Tom (Ackerman, crew chief) and Mike (Hillman, general manager) had set up our Atlanta test last week to run like race day. We had practice runs in the morning just like we do on Friday. We had mock practice runs during the afternoon and then a long run around 8:30 pm. It was a great test and helped a lot."
"I like Atlanta Motor Speedway, I've raced there a few times in the IRL but I am looking forward to driving the Germain/Arnold Racing Toyota Tundra there. The Craftsman trucks are a lot of fun to race and it will be great for the fans. I've had so much fun working with my team. Chad is a great teammate; he has really helped me to adjust to the truck. I have learned so much from the crew here and at the shop. The guys put a lot of time into these Tundra's. The engines are so fast and the support from TRD is fantastic. We are looking forward to a good finish in Atlanta."
