TEAM CHEVY SILVERADO INSIDE THE GARAGE AT ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY -- DAYNE PIERANTONI, GM RACING SILVERADO PROGRAM MANAGER, NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES: "Atlanta is a tough and very fast racetrack. You carry a tremendous amount of corner speed and with the trucks it is really important to keep the moment through the corners in order to get a good drive down the straightaways. It is always an exciting race to watch as the racing groove typically moves higher and higher throughout the race giving the drivers multiple lines to race on. With the NASCAR's new pit rules requiring separate stops for fuel and tires it will be interesting to watch as the teams adapt to the rules and the strategies play out.
'Out of all of the Chevrolet drivers I am sure Ron Hornaday is really looking forward to this week's race in Atlanta. Ron is a previous winner in Atlanta and in the last three races there he has 2 poles, has led more than 200 laps, and has 3 consecutive 2nd place finishes. I know that he is ready to get back to victory lane. But, it won't be easy for him. Last fall he was narrowly edged by his teammate Ryan Newman for the win and this year he will be teaming up with and racing against his truck owner Kevin Harvick. That being said, we can't forget about our other Silverado drivers. Ricky Carmichael will be making his third truck series start following a very impressive 8th place finish last week in California. Mike Bliss is a former Atlanta truck series winner and both Matt Crafton and Chad Mccumbee have some top fives to their credit in the last few Atlanta races. I am expecting a strong showing for our Chevrolets."
MEET THE DRIVERS: Team Chevy Silverado drivers will hold an autograph session for fans on Saturday morning at the Chevy Racing Display in the Midway.
