ASA's SS Racing, Inc. Leaps To NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series

Indianapolis, IN. (July 23rd, 2004) - SS Racing, Inc. has announced today that they will enter the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for a limited schedule in 2004. Current plans are to run Indianapolis Raceway Park, Richmond and Martinsville. The entry will be newly purchased 2004 Chevrolet Silverado entered through an alliance with Green Light Racing.

Butch Miller will pilot the No. 20 Timber Wolf Silverado in the Power Stroke Diesel 200 at IRP on August 06, 2004. This will be Miller's 109th career start in the truck series, compiling 1 win, 23 top 5's and 50 top 10's. "I cannot tell you how excited I am about being back in the Craftsman Truck Series and representing our great sponsor Timber Wolf. This has always been exciting racing and I can't wait" says Miller. "IRP is a great place to race and I have had very good results there. This is an excellent place to begin SS Racing's venture into this series."

Currently SS Racing, Inc. is running three teams in the American Speed Association including the No. 06 ditech.com/GMAC Chevy through an alliance with Nextel Cup powerhouse Hendrick Motorsports and driven by open wheel star Kyle Krisiloff. The other cars are being driven by Miller, Davin Scites and John Dalziel.

"This venture is a natural progression for our team adds Ken Smith, President of SS Racing. "We pride ourselves as championship caliber team as well as a driver development program. This will give us lots of options in the development side as well as open up opportunities for our marketing partners."

Miller and Smith were united back in May of 2002 at a chance encounter. This meeting has blossomed for both parties as Miller has collected seven wins, 18 top 5's and 30 top 10's in only 40 starts in the ASA Series. Miller's experience and knowledge has also helped build the driver development niche.

Smith adds "Our goal has always been to grow the Timber Wolf brand through our racing program and this added exposure will continue to build this process for it's customers as well as distributors."

The No. 20 Timber Wolf Chevy will take the green flag at 8:00 PM on August 06, 2004 at IRP and will be shown live on SPEED Channel. Don't miss the excitement.
