NASCAR points leader Stewart to race USAC Midget at LVMS.

LAS VEGAS-- NASCAR Winston Cup points leader Tony Stewart will return to his open-wheel roots to compete in the USAC Worldcom Midget Car Series at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday, Nov. 30.

Stewart will make his first start ever at the Bullring.

"Anytime I can find the time to run a USAC Midget, I'm going to do it," Stewart said. "My roots are in USAC and racing Midgets is my way of having fun. So, I'll be there."

Friday, Nov. 29 USAC will have an open practice session. Spectators can watch practice from 4 to 7 free of charge.

Saturday, November 30, spectator gates open at 3 p.m. Qualifying begins at 4 p.m. with racing at 6:30. General admission is $20 for adults, $15 for senior citizens/ military personnel and $6 for children ages 6-12. Children five and under are free. Admission to the Stockyard is $50 per vehicle (up to four people). A Family Four Pack can be purchased for $40. Admission to the pit area is $25 for USAC members and $30 for non-members.
