MATT KENSETH -17- DeWalt Power Tools Taurus-ON THE "YOUNG GUNS"

"I don't think it really matters about your age. Obviously, younger people all the time are getting opportunities to race in Winston cup in good equipment. There's not much sub-par equipment anymore in Winston Cup, and I think the difference from the older days, kind of like Ricky Rudd says, when he started he had to start in sub-par equipment and now everybody's starting in good cars, so that's where the difference. The young guys were up front. I think we all hit it a little bit more tonight, didn't get caught up in that early accident and all that stuff and had good cars tonight. If we all would've had bad cars, we would've all been running in the back. I think everybody over here is a good driver and I just think it's a lot about the cars and the team and the equipment that they're in."

ON THE NEW WINSTON FORMAT. "I like the new format, but the one thing I think maybe they could consider doing different is like counting the cautions for maybe the first 40-lap segment, maybe like counting the cautions for the first 20 laps or something because there were an awful lot of cautions with that they wreck and it didn't leave us a lot of racing to set up for a long run or to have as much strategy to put into it. I think that if we would've had more green flags, especially in the first segment, there would've been a little bit more strategy. But it was interesting. They always do something different here every year to make it interesting. I thought it was okay. I think it's a good thing there was a yellow in the last race to make it a lot more exciting at the end. I thought the way everything worked, you could obviously come through and do what Ryan came back from dead-last and winning the last-chance race and won it all. So it can be done from the back, and I thought it was pretty good."
