Will Kimmel to make Sprint Cup debut at Kentucky

Will Kimmel is the nephew of 10x ARCA champion Frank Kimmel.

27-year-old racer Will Kimmel has been picked up by Go Green Racing to pilot the No. 32 in this weekend's NASCAR Sprint Cup race in Kentucky. It will be Kimmel's Cup debut. The car will be sponsored by Corvetteparts.net and with 46 cars entered, it is not a guarantee he will be in the race.

The car was most recently driven by 2000 Sprint Cup champion Bobby Labonte at Daytona, who finished last after getting swept up in an early accident. Kimmel has seven previous NASCAR starts with six on the Xfinity side between 2013 and 2014 (best finish of 22nd) and one in Trucks back in 2010 (finished 21st).

Kimmel has 83 starts in ARCA with 126 laps led and 12 top fives, but has yet to secure his first win. His uncle Frank is a 10x ARCA champion himself.

He will be the fifth driver of the No. 32 season, joining Labonte, Mike Bliss, Travis Kvapil, Joey Gase, and Boris Said.
