Cole Whitt will campaign the No. 35 Speed Stick Ford full-time in 2015.
Cole Whitt will drive the No. 35 Ford for Front Row Motorsports.
The team officially announced on Friday that FRM will campaign three full-time teams in 2015 with the 23-year-old Alpine, California native joining drivers David Ragan and David Gilliland.
Whitt will sponsorship from Speed Stick for 10 races. Veteran crew chief Randy Cox will continue on as Whitt’s crew chief.
"I'm really excited and grateful for the opportunity to go racing with Front Row Motorsports and continue my relationship with Speed Stick," Whitt said in the release. "Bob Jenkins (FRM team owner) is a smart businessman and has grown his team the right way over the years, and I'm really looking forward to being a part of that growth.
“The 2014 season was great for me as a driver. We had some important personal victories and some areas where we'll want to improve."
Whitt most recently raced with BKRacing, where he finished 31st in the Sprint Cup point standings – one position ahead of his new teammate Ragan. His best result was 15th in the fall race at Talladega, one of three top 20 finishes in his freshman season.
Since graduating to NASCAR after winning the 2008 USAC National Midget Championship, Whitt’s best season was in 2012 when he raced full-time for JR Motorsports. He posted four top fives, 14 top 10s and finished seventh in the Xfinity Series point standings.
Adding Cole Whitt to our program, along with the support of the Speed Stick team, is another big step in our growth as a young team.
Team owner Bob Jenkins

"Adding Cole Whitt to our program, along with the support of the Speed Stick team, is another big step in our growth as a young team. We're going to have a diverse mix of experience with our drivers, which, I think, is going to be a big benefit for everyone."
