Kenseth on racing at Watkins Glen International:

"Road course racing is far from my specialty, but I think we have gotten better with it over time and I think it's fun to do. Watkins Glen is quite a bit different than Sonoma, and of the two, I like racing at Watkins Glen better. It drives a lot more like a speedway -- like a Michigan for example. You don't have the big elevation changes that you do at Sonoma, which makes it a little easier. Watkins Glen is more about momentum and going fast. The key is to qualify well and work out a good pit strategy. If you do that, you can hopefully leave with a solid finish."

Crew chief Jimmy Fennig on racing at Watkins Glen International:

"Watkins Glen is a weekend that when we work on setting up our car, we look at fuel mileage, handling, and brakes. The difference between Watkins Glen versus Sonoma is that there are a few sections of the track this weekend where the cars get a lot of speed, but then have to brake quickly to enter tight turns. Drivers need to work on getting a rhythm down as they go through the course and find the lines that work best for them. Road course success is also about having great handling and staying out of trouble on Sunday."

Entering this weekend, Kenseth is currently ninth in the Sprint Cup Series driver point standings
