JUAN PABLO MONTOYA (No. 42 Big Red Slim Pack Dodge Charger) No. 3 in first practice session

"The car really felt good in practice. We had a good test at Road Atlanta and the results carried over to Watkins Glen this weekend. We've had a good racecar the last few races, but just haven't seen the results. The car felt balanced and smooth around most of the track; we just need to make some small adjustments to make it better."

HOW IMPORTANT WAS THE TEST SESSION AT ROAD ATLANTA LAST WEEK FOR YOUR TEAM? "It was really good for our Big Red Dodge. We've found a lot of things on the car that we could improve on and think that we understand the car a little better coming into this weekend at Watkins Glen. We still need to find some things to be really, really good, but I think that we have one of the fastest cars out here."

ROBBY GORDON (No. 7 Jim Beam Dodge Charger) No. 2 in second practice session

YOU WERE SECOND FASTEST IN HAPPY HOUR, HOW GOOD IS YOUR RACECAR? "Our Jim Beam Dodge is really fast. We're still a little too loose, but I think we have a great handle on the adjustments to make our car even better. The guys did a great job preparing our Jim Beam Dodge and we've been good since we unloaded this morning. I think that we can have a good day tomorrow."

WHAT IS IT ABOUT WATKINS GLEN THAT YOU LIKE SO MUCH? "It a fun track to race. You can carry a lot of speed around this place and there never is a dull moment in the car. We've worked extremely hard on our road course package and Watkins Glen seems to be a great fit for our team."

RAIN CANCELLED QUALIFYING AND YOU HAVE TO START 31ST; HOW DO YOU MOVE UP THE FIELD? "You have to have some luck. Running in the back is tough. I'm going to have to pick my spots on where to pass and not put my car in a position where I can wreck it or run it off the road. The key for us will be to put ourselves up near the front to be in position to make a run that last 20-lap dash."

DRIVER'S TEMPERS SEEM TO RUN A LITTLE HOTTER HERE, WHY IS THAT? "Maybe they struggle driving (laughs)."
