Burton Heads To Site Of First Win
"Rockingham has been a pretty good track for me in the past. I got
my and Bill Davis Racing's first win here. It was just so
incredible, we'd only been together for seven races but we clicked
like we'd been together for years. I wish I had enjoyed that victory
a lot more while it was happening. I took it for granted that more would

BURTON ON ROCKINGHAM
"It is an odd track that I seem to get around decently. I have had some very good runs there ever since Tommy (Baldwin) came on board with us in 1998. We came very close to winning this race two years ago, but we just came up a little short. We got beat off pit road and the guy that beat us won the race. It's just one of those deals. I am looking forward to this weekend's race and hopefully we can have another competitive run like we had a couple of years ago."
BALDWIN ON ROCKINGHAM
"I really like this track. It has some heritage to it, but it's also a place that Ward seems to have figured out. I think we can run a lot better than we did in the spring. We had problems getting the nose to turn because of some of the rules that the Dodge had. Since then, we've gotten a little help with the nose and it should help us at a track like Rockingham. If we can get the nose to turn for Ward, we'll be in good shape."
BALDWIN ON THE UNION 76 PIT CREW COMPETETITION
"This is the time that the pit crew gets to shine. They work hard in the pits every race and usually get over shadowed by the driver or other teams, but this competition allows them to showcase their abilities against the other top-25 teams. We had one penalty last year, otherwise we would have been very close to clinching the title. It doesn't count for much, but it does allow the guys to have bragging rights for a year on being the fastest, most accurate, pit crew in the business."
The annual Union 76/Rockingham Pit Crew Competition will be held Saturday following the Busch Series event. It has been an annual event since 1967.
Jimmy Penland, car chief on the No. 22 Caterpillar Dodge, will move to the No. 93 Amoco Dodge effective immediately. Trip Bruce will take over car chief duties on the No. 22 Caterpillar Dodge.
