TRG Motorsports Announces New Partnership with Veteran Affairs Post-9/11 GI Bill Featured on No. 71 Chevrolet
MOORESVILLE, NC (May 29, 2010) - TRG Motorsports announced today a new partnership with The United States Department of Veterans Affairs. The team will highlight the Post-9/11 GI Bill program on the No. 71 Chevrolet driven by Bobby Labonte this weekend during the Coca-Cola 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The Post-9/11 GI Bill is an education program that provides benefits for Veterans, Service Members and their families. This bill is a flexible educational benefit designed to help these men and women jumpstart their new careers. This is a tribute to thank all these men and women for their extraordinary service.
"This new partnership with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs is truly special for us," said team owner Kevin Buckler. "It will allow us to immediately become stronger as a team, but also allow us to spread the message about the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
"Our Veterans allow us to do what we love each day," continued Buckler. "We'll carry their colors with pride.
"This is a great new partnership for us," echoed Labonte. "The Veterans Affairs and the Post-9/11 GI Bill really affect so many veterans who both served here and overseas giving us the opportunity to race each weekend. This is great way to say thanks and make them aware of this great program."
The No. 71 Chevrolet will carry the URL www.GIBill.va.gov on various primary positions of the car including the quarter panel and TV panel. An American flag will adorn the hood of the car this weekend.
The Post-9/11 GI Bill can include up to 100% of tuition, a housing allowance and money for books. This is a part of our Country's gratitude for the service and sacrifices by true hero's. Currently more than 600,000 Veterans are using the VA Education Benefits. VA has made over three billion in payments under the Post-9/11 GI Bill program.
