TaxSlayer.com Signs with TRG Motorsports in Sprint Cup
Mooresville, North Carolina, (August 4, 2009) - TaxSlayer.com has agreed to a deal with TRG Motorsports to become the primary sponsor on the TaxSlayer.com Chevrolet Impala SS NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car driven by David Gilliland for six races this season. The car will debut this weekend at Watkins Glen International Raceway with the No. 70 and revert to the team's traditional No. 71 for the remaining races.
The TaxSlayer Pro, which was introduced to professional tax practitioners in 1992, is the first chapter in the company's story. The second was in 1998 when they used the basic technology from the professional package to develop their own individual version for online preparation and e-Filing. Growing out of an established firm with a solid reputation of over 30 years in the Tax Preparation business, TaxSlayer.com has the full expertise of a professional tax service behind every return. The TaxSlayer.com individual program is a fully featured online tax preparation step-by-step system that is designed for the individual taxpayer. This program provides all of the forms, calculations and communication links to allow you to prepare and e-File a tax return electronically with the IRS.
"The tax return business like NASCAR is very competitive," Daniel Eubanks, Assitant Director of Growth at TaxSlayer.com said. "We will leverage the at-the-track reach and television value to educate consumers on our product. Taxes are a necessary evil, but our web site can make it virtually painless to prepare your own taxes, e-File and get your return, in most cases, in as a little as eight days. We pride ourselves in providing a quality product at an unmatched price. TRG Motorsports has done a great job this season for a new team. We are looking forward to helping them reach the next level of competitiveness and getting our brand in front of the NASCAR audience."
TRG Motorsports team principal, Kevin Buckler, has run all season with limited to no sponsorship and has showcased the competitiveness of this lean and efficient program.
"We are very happy to have TaxSlayer.com on the car for six races," Buckler said. "We are going to do everything possible to make their effort pay off and hopefully we can grow their participation in the sport. This agreement gives us a little breathing room and will allow our team to show some of the competitiveness we know is within our strong little group. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is a fantastic place for TaxSlayer to make their motorsports debut and we are proud to have them onboard."
