Trevor Bayne to make first Cup start with Roush-Fenway this weekend
Trevor Bayne will finally get his chance to race a Roush car at the Cup level.
Trevor Bayne has made 55 starts at the NASCAR Sprint Cup level, all for the famous Wood Brothers team, and on a part-time basis. He is the 2011 Daytona 500 champion and currently competes full-time in the Nationwide Series with Roush-Fenway Racing, where he sits sixth in points.
This weekend, he will make his first Cup start with Roush at Charlotte. Advocare will serve as his sponsor. Next year, he will replace Carl Edwards at RFR's Cup team, and the No. 6 car will be returned to the race track with his promotion.
He has made five previous Cup starts at Charlotte, finishing as high as 16th in the 2013 Coca Cola 600.
