NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Homestead-Miami Speedway, 2012-11-18.

Those massive clouds coming from the Everglades during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series finale at Homestead last months were quite impressive. What I also liked about them is the fact that one could draw a parallel between them and the actual race: they look threatening, like something big was about to happen. Exactly like that furious pack of stock-cars, racing down the backstretch.

But at the end of the day, everything went smoothly, as planned. Like some kind of quiet storm. But whether in South Florida or in NASCAR racing, beware of the storms, though: they never remain quiet forever…
