ROUSH RACING QUOTES OF THE WEEK
Week of April 14, 2004

TOPIC: This year the Nextel Cup Series will visit Texas twice. The first visit will be this weekend and the second will be during the Chase. We asked the Roush Racing Nextel Cup drivers if their strategies will differ for the two events?

Mark Martin/No. 6 Viagra Ford Taurus:

"My strategy for both races will be to go there and go faster than everyone else and win the race. I'm actually glad to go to Texas twice, because I think it's a great track and one where we've always performed pretty well. It's my kind of track and it really suits my driving style. Obviously we'll go there the second time and use anything that we might have learned the first time, but we'll clearly be looking to try to win both of those."

Greg Biffle/No. 16 National Guard Ford Taurus:

"Texas is a fast track and a fun place to race, so I'm happy to see it on the schedule twice this season. As far as strategy goes, we're going there to win both races. We've got cars and a team to do it so that will be our strategy this weekend and during the Chase in the fall.

Matt Kenseth/No. 17 DeWalt Ford Taurus:

"The strategy is the same every week. Try to win. By winning and leading laps you get the most points possible, and our goal every week is to gather the most amount of points toward a championship."

Kurt Busch/No. 97 Sharpie/Irwin Ford Taurus:

"Texas has been a good track to us, and it is such a great facility that I'm looking forward to heading back out there in the fall. We'll be taking good notes this weekend because hopefully when we come back with three races to go we'll be in the thick of the Chase again. It will be cooler when we're back in November so it will be a different race track entirely, but we'll see how it all plays out."
