Paul Menard's Thoughts on Texas Motor Speedway: "We had a pretty good Ford Fusion for the race at Texas Motor Speedway in the fall and ran inside the top 15 for most of the race, but we got caught up in that big wreck near the end of the race and that was the end of that. I think our mile and a half program has struggled a little bit here lately, but I know Slugger and the guys have put their heads together and come up with a good plan for the weekend. I'm looking forward to getting there. I feel like we have the capability of putting together a really good run this weekend. We've got three races left in the 2010 season and we're looking to finish it out strong."
Crew Chief Slugger Labbe's Thoughts on TMS: "At Texas, the tires will really wear out the longer you run, so the car tends to get pretty loose the longer you go on a set of Goodyear tires. The key is to figure out what you can do on the long runs to increase the life of the tires."
Chassis History: Crew chief Slugger Labbe and the No. 98 RPM crew have prepared chassis No. 556 for this weekend's event. This is the same Ford Fusion that the team ran at Chicagoland Speedway and the most recent event at Dover (Del.) International Raceway. Menard finished inside the top 10 in both of those events.
Notes: Paul Menard will head west a little early this week and will spend time Las Vegas on behalf of sponsor Quaker State. Menard will make a pit stop at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Wednesday evening and will give Quaker State customers the ride of their lives as he treats them to laps around the 1.5-mile track.
