SADLER STILL FOCUSED ON 11TH PLACE POINTS FINISH

CHARLOTTE, NC (November 1, 2005) -- With three races to go in the 2005 season, Elliott Sadler is already making his off-season plans. An avid outdoorsman Sadler looks forward to spending the month of December on his family's 30,000 acres in his home base of Emporia, Virginia. Only one thing could stand between Sadler and the outdoors after the checkered flag falls in Homestead -- a trip to New York City.

Sadler currently stands 13th in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup point standings, 60 points behind 11th place driver Jamie McMurray and 18 points behind driver Jeff Gordon whose recent surge places him in the 12th position. Continuing his hunt for 11th as well as a spot on the stage at the NASCAR Banquet in New York, Sadler couldn't be happier to return to a track where he is a former winner, Texas Motor Speedway.

Sadler Quotes-- "It's always a good feeling to return to a track where've you won, but for me it's especially sweet to come back to Texas. It is just a track that fits my driving style and a track where I have a lot of confidence. We've been running really well these past couple of races, especially strong in qualifying. I think Kevin (Buskirk, interim crew chief) and I have been communicating pretty well about where our cars need to be at to be pretty quick."

"I've started second twice at Texas so it would be nice to get the pole but I really want to win a race before the year is over. To me this is definitely the track to do it at. Finishing in the 11th place in points is still a big priority. I'd love to be on the stage in New York for all of my sponsors. A win at Texas would be a big step in accomplishing that. Plus they have some of the coolest trophies. I've already got the boot trophy (April 2004). I think this time the trophy is a cowboy hat. That would be a pretty cool set to have at home."
