Up-and-comer extends his run in the No. 7 Chevy.
Tommy Baldwin Racing has exercised its option on Alex Bowman.
Bowman, 22, joined TBR at the start of the 2015 season. The driver of the No, 7 Nikko/Golden Corral Chevy is one of NASCAR’s rising stars.
“Obviously, we have a lot of good things going on for the future,” said team owner Tommy Baldwin Jr. “We picked up his option last week.
"We’re real excited about what we have going on with TBR right now. We figured if we got Alex locked down and then we can work on all the necessary tools to keep climbing up the ladder.”
Bowman cut his teeth in the ARCA and the K&N Pro Series East tour prior to running the XFINITY Series for RAB in 2013. The Tuscon native competed in 32 of 33 races and finished 11th in the NXS point standings.
After running his rookie season with BK Racing in 2014, Bowman joined TBR at the end of the season. His best result is 16th at Talladega Superspeedway.
Golden Corral will join the No. 7 Chevy next weekend and again at Talladega in October.
