Martin Truex Jr. and No. 1 Bass Pro Shops / Tracker Boats Team
Talladega History: Truex and team will return to Superspeedway racing this weekend at Talladega. Truex will be making his 10th NSCS start at the 2.660-mile high-banked oval. Truex has an average starting position of 20.1 and an average finish of 28.1 at Talladega Superpeedway. Truex's best qualifying effort of third came during the first Talladega race of 2009, when his teammate Juan Pablo Montoya won his first Pole Award for the same race. His best finish of fifth came during the October event in the 2006 season. No stranger to success at Talladega, Truex brought home three straight victories in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) in 2004, 2005, and 2006. The victories in 2004 and 2005 helped to propel Truex to back-to-back NNS Championships.
About Martinsville: Martin Truex Jr. and the No. 1 Vaseline® MEN Lotion team had reason to smile following qualifying at Martinsville Speedway. They were the third-fastest qualifier for the race's qualifying session. Their speed continued into Sunday afternoon's 500-mile event, but a miscue on an early pit stop and late-race nudge, and subsequent spin, by a fellow competitor would relegate Truex to a 28th-place finish.
Bass Pro Returns: Long-time sponsor Bass Pro Shops and Tracker Boats will return to the race track at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend when the No. 1 Team returns for the second race at the 2.660-mile high-banked oval.
Juan Pablo Montoya and No. 42 Target Team
The Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup: Montoya rebounded nicely after a disappointing 35th-place finish at Lowe's Motor Speedway the weekend prior. He's 200 out of first place and only eight points behind Stewart who sits in fourth.

His best finish at Talladega came in the spring 2008 race where he finished in the runner-up position and garnered his only top-five finish at the superspeedway. Talladega also marks the first place Montoya won a pole in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series which occurred in the spring.
About Martinsville: Stats wise, Juan Pablo Montoya had the strongest average finishing position at Martinsville Speedway out of any other track on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule. In a green/white/checkered finish, Montoya found himself in familiar territory battling it out with Johnson, Gordon and Hamlin.
