"I felt like we put ourselves in position to win on the last restart, being third. That's almost one of the best spots to be in for a restart. We just didn't get a run (push) from behind. Everyone was fanning out trying to get to a top five. No worries for us. We were definitely more competitive than we were at Daytona. A good effort to be sixth today. It's Talladega. I circled this one on the calendar to just try and survive. I'm glad that we did that. I'm glad our Dodge engine ran all day. That's such a good solid effort-to be eighth two weeks ago, a third and then a sixth today. That's what we have to do."
PAT TRYSON (Crew Chief -- No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger
"It was a good day for us all day. We had a shot. We just didn't have anybody pushing us there at the end. Unfortunately, we didn't get the help we needed, but it was a good day points wise. All in all, it was a good day."
REED SORENSON (No. 43 U.S. Air Force Dodge Charger) Finished 11th
"We had a pretty good start to the day, but then I cut a right-rear tire about half-way through the race. Luckily we were in Turn 4 and avoided a wreck somehow and were able to get the car down pit road and get it fixed. We got back out there, got our lucky dog, and just rode our way to the best finish that we could."
ELLIOTT SADLER (No. 19 Best Buy Dodge Charger) Finished 19th
"It was a good day for Best Buy Dodge Charger. We had to start the race at the back of the field because of the engine change and raced our way all the way to the front to lead. We got caught up in the first wreck and got a little damage, but we were able to continue on. We led laps and picked up five bonus points and finished in one piece moving forward - but not a bad day overall. Hopefully this will give us some momentum heading into my home track at Richmond."
DAVID STREMME (No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger) Finished 31st
"It was a good day for our Penske Dodge Charger, just a tough finish for us. Just a normal Talladega deal with guys doing a lot of bump drafting and a lot of guys doing stupid stuff out there today; it is what it is. We had a good car today. We got some debris in the nose of the car early and fixed it, but we were still kind of tore up. We could have gotten a top-10 or top-five here for sure. Overall, it was a solid day for us today."
SAM HORNISH JR. (No. 77 AAA/Penske Truck Rental Dodge Charger) Finished 34th
"We had a pretty good day going in our Penske Truck Rental/AAA Dodge. We got out there and lead some laps-actually lead them and not just by stayed out (under caution). I'm really happy with all the work the guys on the 77 crew put in again. It's a big jump up for all of Penske Racing compared to what we had at Daytona. My hat is off to Penske Racing engines and the guys in the fab shop that built these cars. We'll go to Richmond next weekend and hopefully build on the momentum that I still feel we have. We were just at the wrong place at the wrong time today."
TRAVIS GEISLER (Crew Chief -- No. 77 AAA/Penske Truck Rental Dodge Charger)
"It was a day of ups-and-downs for us today and unfortunately, it ended on a little bit of a downer (getting caught up in the late-race crash). Our day started out with Sam (Hornish Jr.) getting sick last night and he came here today and did just an awesome job. He got a bunch of IV fluids in him this morning and manned-up this afternoon. He worked his way up to the front of the field and led a few laps. We had a good car and just tried to buy our time. Unfortunately, it's Talladega and you just get caught up in some other people's incidents and that's what happened to us today."
AJ ALLMENDINGER (No. 44 Hunt Brothers Pizza Dodge Charger) Finished 35th
"It looked like somebody got into Jeff (Gordon) and the wreck just started from there. I thought that I actually had our Hunt Brothers Pizza Dodge Charger slowed down, but then somebody drilled my from behind which turned me up into the wall and did all the damage. I don't know if I slid through the mess, I wish that we got through it cleaner than we did."
KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Budweiser Dodge Charger) Finished 36th
"I'm OK. I just couldn't see up in the pack of cars in front of me. It looked like (Matt) Kenseth came up (the race track), and from there I was just in the wreck. A pretty big wreck there early in the race. It's so simple to run three and four wide and that's what everybody was doing. If one guy makes one mistake, which looked like happened up front, it's going to cause a big one."
