Great Day Goes Sour at Talladega for the #00 Domino's "Brooklyn Style" Pizza Toyota

Talladega, AL -- David Reutimann, driver of the #00 Domino's "Brooklyn Style" Pizza Toyota in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series, finished 32nd in the Aaron's 499 today from Talladega Superspeedway.

The #00 Domino's "Brooklyn Style" Pizza Toyota looked strong throughout the entire race today, including spending almost the entire second half of the Aaron's 499 in the top ten. With only ten laps to go David was sitting in 3rd place and was poised to get the team their first top 10 of this NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Season.

"The #00 Domino's "Brooklyn Style" Pizza Toyota was awesome today. It would just take off when running up top, and I had no problem pulling up to other drivers to push them, said David Reutimann.

Unfortunately, with only four laps remaining the engine in the #00 Domino's "Brooklyn Style" Pizza Toyota went up in smoke relegating the team to a 32nd place finish.

"Of course I am disappointed -- a 32nd place finish by no means shows how good we ran today. I mean four laps to go -- that's all was between us and a top five or ten," said David.

The #00 Domino's Pizza team had an impressive showing and David drove with complete respect for his other 42 competitors. "I'm so proud of Frank (Kerr) and the guys on this #00 Domino's Pizza team -- they continue to work hard and we continue to get better week-in week out. They deserve a good finish and it will be only a matter of time till the luck swings in our direction," said David.
