* As he nears the $3 million mark in Winston Cup earnings, Steve Park in the #1 Pennzoil Chevrolet Monte Carlo takes on the .526-mile oval at Martinsville Speedway this weekend.
* At the end of last season, Park and the Pennzoil team posted at 12th-place finish during the 500-lap event at Martinsville, their best finish at the half-mile track.
* With strong runs, the Pennzoil team continues its climb in the Winston Cup points standings to 19th as Park has posted three top-10 finishes in Dale Earnhardt Inc.-owned Chevrolet, in comparison to the five for all last season. Park continues to lead races and so far this season has been on the point for a total of 81 laps in just seven races.
Steve Park: "We are really working hard as a team to make things consistent," said crew chief Paul Andrews. "The positive spin to all this is that we are running well every week and getting the Pennzoil car in the front."
"It was great to see my teammate win last weekend and it only makes us work harder to get our first Winston Cup win as well," said Steve Park, who has three top-10 finishes this season including a fourth in Atlanta. "We keep progressing each week and I know we are on the verge of obtaining our goal."
