Elliott Sadler on Infineon Raceway: "I love road course racing. It's something different and changes things up for us. I grew up racing go karts so I think road course racing fits my style of driving. It's a patient driver's track for sure. I like Infineon a lot and always look forward to going there. I've done well there and had some solid finishes. Last year we came from being two laps down to finishing in the top 10.
"It'll be cool to race on Father's Day this year now that I'm a dad. It's been such an amazing experience, having my son in our lives. It would be great to celebrate in Victory Lane."
Crew Chief Wally Rogers' Thoughts on this Weekend: "You have to change the way you think a bit for these road course races. You won't have a lot of opportunity to make changes to the car because you won't stop very often. You plan the pit stops based on fuel mileage, really. They last stop you make will come as soon as your fuel mileage window opens up to where you can make it to the end and even then you have to decided how close you want to cut it if there is a green-white-checkered flag situation. Elliott is a pretty skilled road racer and he can help to save us fuel if need be, but you hate to put the driver in that situation of you don't need to.
"Qualifying is pretty important. It's obviously really tough to pass at places like this, so the farther ahead you can get to start, the better off you'll be. Mainly it's got to be a day where the driver stays calm and remains patient, setting people up for the pass long before it may ever happen. Keeping all four wheels on the track is the key and Elliott is pretty good at that, so I think we should have a pretty good day."
Chassis History: The No. 19 Stanley team has prepared chassis No. 243 for this weekend's event. This Ford Fusion was run in both road course events last season and it was also tested at Virginia International Raceway earlier this month.
Notes: This Sunday marks the first Father's Day Elliott Sadler will experience as a father. Wyatt Herman Fritts Sadler was born February 15th of this year. The Sadler family spent Monday at their home in Emporia, Va. with the crew from Showtime's Inside NASCAR for a special feature that will air next Wednesday, June 23 at 10 pm ET.
Sadler will spend Wednesday at Atlanta Motor Speedway taking part in a Goodyear test with the No. 98 Richard Petty Motorsports team. Sadler was tapped to help out his teammate Paul Menard, who was unable to test both Tuesday and Wednesday because of his Nationwide schedule. Sadler's crew chief, Wally Rogers, will also attend the test.
