SADLER, M&M'S® MAKE THE "RIGHT" PREPARATIONS FOR INFINEON

CHARLOTTE, NC (June 21, 2005) -- Many considered the 2004 season to be Elliott Sadler's breakout year in NASCAR NEXTEL Cup racing. This season though, Sadler has instead had several breakout races.

Take a look at Martinsville, Talladega, Richmond, Dover and Michigan. Sadler has posted top-10 finishes at each in 2005, marking his first career top-10 at Richmond and his second top-10 effort in 13 career starts at the remaining four. Improving his game at tracks where Team 38 has struggled in the past has been key to Sadler's current third place ranking in the championship point standings.

"I'm with a great, great race team," Sadler said after Sunday's race at Michigan. "Have we peaked yet? No. Are we getting there? I think so. We're running good at a lot of places we didn't run well at last year, so to come to a track like Michigan and have a great car on a long run is a good, good feeling."

This weekend the M&M'S Racing Team heads West to Sonoma, Calif. and the Infineon Raceway, the first road course race of the season. Even with two top-10 finishes to his credit, Sadler believes road course racing is an area for improvement and has spent the past two weeks testing his car and skills in preparation for making left and right turns.

Quoting M&M'S® Driver Elliott Sadler:

"We're really proud as a team of the success we've had so far this season, especially at tracks where we didn't run so well in the past. You look at championship caliber teams and they don't just run well at only short tracks or only the mile-and-a-half tracks, they're consistent across the board. Those teams have cars capable of running well at every type of track on the circuit and their drivers are able to adapt and perform well at every track."

"I think that's where we've improved as a team this season. We're competitive at every track we go to, whether it's Martinsville, Charlotte or Talladega. We've really stepped our program up a notch. This weekend we're going to Infineon. Road courses haven't necessarily been our strength so we tested VIR, not just to help the car but the driver as well. DJ (teammate, Dale Jarrett) and I will spend some time at Bondurant in Phoenix before jumping over to Sonoma so hopefully all of those things will have us in good shape for this weekend."
