Ryan Truex will see a doctor this week in hopes of racing at Bristol

Ryan Truex was forced to sit out Michigan's Cup race due to a concussion.

2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup rookie Ryan Truex will be evaluated later this week as it is determined whether or not he can participate in this weekend's race at Bristol.

He crashed heavily during the second Cup practice at Michigan, walking away from the car but complaining of head and shoulder pain. J.J. Yeley filled in for him after he was diagnosed with a concussion, finishing 30th.
