CAN YOU TAKE US THROUGH THE LAST RE-START?
"It wasn't much to it, really, I just went down into turn - we got the tires all cooled off, I led a lot of laps tonight, and I really hated giving up the victory, but Tony really had a great car. In long runs his car was hooked up better. On the caution flag there, everything cooled down, we were about to run out of gas, and I got a good shot at him again, and so I come off of turn four and I got past Gordon, got along side him going into one, my car pushed up a little bit, we got together, banged around, he went on, got away and he finished second and I finished third and that's about it. Ain't much to it, just a little fender banging. I gained a lot of points tonight, that was good, and going for the championship, man, that's what I want. I've already got a big victory last week and a lot of top fives, gotta get me a couple of poles now. But, it was a good night at Richmond. I had a spring rubber in the right rear that really needed to get out. I had too much rate in the right rear spring. I was concerned about that going into the race because I usually don't run that thing in there here at this track, but I did and I know what to do next time. Had a great car. Just one little small adjustment would've made it perfect."
DID YOU HAVE A RUN ON HIM RIGHT THERE?
"Oh, I had a run on him, yeah, but we all had a run. I mean, I'm out of tires, they're all out of tires, we went down into one and I together with Jeff and that was it, so it's all over. It was a good run. I mean, I don't know what to say, except for with two laps to go all hell breaks loose, we're going for it, we're race-car drivers. I banged into him pretty hard, got him out of shape, and he got it back up and finished second and I finished third, no gain or nothing right there, we just finished where we had been running."
WERE ANY CHANGES MADE DURING THAT LAST PIT STOP?
"The car was just perfect all night long, but like I say, I had a spring rubber in the right rear needed to get out, it's something I don't normally run here and it killed me. I had a hot rod, I guess I led over 400 laps tonight and it's a crying shame to lose it right there at the very end."
HAVE YOU HAD HARD TIME GETTING ACCLIMATED WITH THE NEW TIRES?
"It didn't screw us up too bad this time. This tire is pretty close to what we normally run here. It was a lot closer than a lot of the tracks we run."
