Citgo unveils 2003 No. 99 Ford Taurus NASCAR paint scheme.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 11, 2002) -- While NASCAR's elite division is preparing for the Oct. 13 UAW-GM Quality 500 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C., more than 3,000 CITGO marketers witnessed the unveiling of the No. 99 CITGO Ford Taurus 2003 paint scheme at the Opryland Hotel.

Roush Racing team owner, Jack Roush, made the trip to the Opryland Hotel for the unveiling as CITGO driver Jeff Burton remained at the 1.5-mile superspeedway. Roush unveiled the new paint scheme with W.A. DeVore, senior vice president of marketing, light oils and lubricants for CITGO.

The paint scheme was revealed in conjunction with CITGO's annual President's Meeting. The President's Meeting is an intense, four-day event where CITGO's top marketers learn about product and retail development as well as new ways to leverage the CITGO brand through various promotional platforms, including NASCAR.
