SCOTT SPEED, No. 82 Red Bull Toyota Camry, Red Bull Racing Team
Starting Position: 8th

Are you happy with your qualifying lap? "We were alright. The car was really good. I think we definitely lost a little bit in (turns) three and four. I don't know if it was going to be enough for the pole, but it definitely cost us. Obviously, both of our cars are running real strong in the qualifying trim so that's a plus. That's a real sign of progress for both of us."

Did you have an advantage running your lap later in qualifying? "I'm sure the track is better, absolutely. Like I said, giving up what we did kind of made the track more comparable I think if we would've ran earlier and had a clean lap we would've ran a similar lap time. It's great for everyone -- both of us in the top-10. After Talladega's success in the race, it's just good to start the weekend off like this."

DAVID REUTIMANN, No. 00 Aaron's Dream Machine Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing
Starting Position: 9th

Are you happy with your qualifying run? "Yeah, I think it's pretty good. We picked up some from practice. We were just a little bit tight and had to make some adjustments on it after we went through tech and that hurt us a little bit. Overall, a top-10 would be great."

JOEY LOGANO, No. 20 Home Depot Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 13th

How was your first Sprint Cup qualifying attempt at Richmond? "I thought it was going to be horrible, but after I warmed up I locked up my left front two times. I was like man, 'I hope it gets better than that on the second lap.' It was decent."

How did the change in the weather (from practice) affect the track? "The track has gained a lot of grip and it's going to continue doing that. It's just going to keep getting cooler and cooler."

How was Denny Hamlin's short track race Thursday night at Southside Speedway? "It was awesome. It was fun. We had more issues, but more fun than I've had in a race car ever. The car was junk and we were running eighth when all of the sudden I blew the core right out of the spark plug. We come in to the pits and they find it -- on a one-third-mile race track -- it was not big. They find the problem. We go back out catch up to the pace car and come back in and take out the spark plug and put a new one in. We couldn't get it done in time so we had to come back in one more time. When I came out we were down a lap. I headed back and just kept on driving my way to the front and had a blast doing that. I had so much fun. We ended up sixth, but I killed the thing trying to get back to the front. I had a blast."

KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 Combos Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 14th

How is your car handling here at Richmond? "It's not bad. It feels like it's alright. The Combos Toyota was decent in practice there. It felt like a good race car so we'll see later on today."

Do you think a rivalry between you and Dale Earnhardt Jr. would help the sport from the fans perspective? "I think the media plays it up as they want to and if it's good for the sport it doesn't matter to me. If it sells tickets that's all that matters to get people in the stands."

What are your expectations for tomorrow night's race? "I expect the 18 to lead all 400 laps, but I don't foresee that happening so we'll just work on it to the best of our ability and make our car as good as we can -- that's what we've done today and that's where I feel like we are now and hopefully we can have a good shot at qualifying up near the front and trying to race up there all night."

MARCOS AMBROSE, No. 47 Bush's Best Baked Beans Toyota Camry, JTG-Daugherty Racing
Starting Position: 21st

How was your first qualifying attempt at Richmond? "Yeah. You have to drive it really hard here and it's hard to know what you've got. It's my first race here in Cup. I probably overdrove it a little bit. Didn't quite know what I needed. But, I'm happy with that. I think we'll get a decent starting spot and have a good race."

How was your qualifying run? "It's great. I really like this track. I fin it a lot of fun. It has some good grip – some good consistent, stable grip. I like to think I'm going to run good tomorrow night.

JOE NEMECHEK, No. 87 Toyota Camry, NEMCO Motorsports
Starting Position: 24th

DAVE BLANEY, No. 66 Toyota Camry, Prism Motorsports
Starting Position: 26th

SCOTT RIGGS, No. 36 Toyota Camry, Tommy Baldwin Racing
Starting Position: 29th

MICHAEL WALTRIP, No. 55 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing
Starting Position: 30th

ROBBY GORDON, No. 7 Toyota Camry, Robby Gordon Motorsports
Starting Position: 36th

How is your car handling on the race track? "We worked on race setup for most of practice until about the last half hour and we went to qualifying trim. We made two qualifying attempts. We were closer to the fast time in practice than what we were. Everybody else seemed to have gained two-tenths and we seemed to have lost two-tenths so that bummed us out a little bit."

JEREMY MAYFIELD, No. 41 Small Toyota Camry, Jeremy Mayfield Motorsports
Starting Position: 38th

Are you happy to be in the race? "It's just a relief to know we're in the show and know we're in the race. Now we've got something we can work on and race. That's what we're here to do and I'm just glad to have our new sponsor Small on the car."
