Scott Wimmer on Richmond International Raceway--
"I am definitely ready to return to some good short track racing," said Wimmer. "With the new pavement and the side by side racing, it should be an awesome race. The improvements they have made to the track should make the racing even better. The speeds should be a lot faster from what we've seen out of testing. I've heard from some of the other drivers that it is unbelievably smoother and that in itself will produce faster speeds. The softer tire and the new aerodynamic package will make it a pretty exciting race. Add the lights and it will be a great show.
"I've run real well in the Busch car at Richmond, so I'm really excited about getting back there. We've always had a real strong car every race, but we just haven't been able to find our way to victory lane yet. It's a great race because a lot of factors come into play--pit strategy and fuel mileage could come into play and that could change the outcome of the race. Our goal is to get a good starting spot and get a solid top 15 finish."
Frank Stoddard on the team's performance-- "It has been both a gratifying and frustrating season so far," said Stoddard. "Scott is doing a fantastic job. He hasn't made any mistakes and he has been very smart and willing to learn all that is necessary to make us run better. We've had some failures and we've made some mistakes as a team and that has cost us a lot of points. We've been a pretty solid running car almost every week, but we just don't have the numbers to prove it in the finish column, where it counts."
