RICHMOND'S PAUL SAWYER CALLS TERRY LABONTE & KENNY WALLACE "TWO-TIMERS"

RICHMOND, VA - "I want to see those TWO-TIMERS Terry Labonte and Kenny Wallace as soon as they get to the track," Richmond International Raceway President, Paul Sawyer recently instructed gate security officers who'll be guarding the tunnel road to RIR's infield during the track's September 7-9 NASCAR race weekend.

Why is Sawyer mad at two of the most likeable competitors in major league auto racing? .........HE ISN'T!

Sawyer just wants to be first to wish Labonte and Wallace well in the upcoming RIR races as they strive to become Richmond THREE-TIMERS.

Both Labonte and Wallace are in midst of a very financially rewarding streak at "The Action Track". Labonte has won the past Winston Cup races at Richmond, claiming $150,715 in 1st-place money. Ironically, Wallace has posted wins in the past two RIR Busch Series Grand National events, earning $47,900 in the process.

"You won't find two nicer drivers anywhere. I don't ever pull for a particular driver, but it sure gives you a good feeling when the nice guys perform well. In the case of Terry and Kenny, baseball's Leo Durocher was definitely wrong years ago when he talked about nice guys finishing last. Just look at their Richmond record," challenges Sawyer.

Wallace is entered in both the Friday Autolite Platinum 250 and Saturday Miller Genuine Draft 400. Labonte is going him one better. He's also entered in the Thurday night Fas Mart SuperTruck Shootout, as well as Wallace's two races, looking to pull off the "Hat Trick".
