JOHNNY BENSON, NO. 10 VALVOLINE PONTIAC GRAND PRIX (16th):

HOW WAS THAT? "Slippery - bad slippery. The track changed a bunch because of the Busch practice. There's just a lot of rubber on the track. We thought maybe we'd have a shot at being in the top three or four, but who knows now?"

KEN SCHRADER, NO. 36 M&M'S PONTIAC GRAND PRIX (22nd):

"They ran the Busch cars for close to two hours and we didn't know what we were going to have. We were good in practice, but we slowed down a bunch. It sure wasn't what we were looking for, but we didn't draw a number like we wanted to. But, we've been worse here before, I guess."

STACY COMPTON, NO. 14 CONSECO PONTIAC GRAND PRIX (31st):

"We got a little loose getting into the corner and we hadn't been loose getting in since we got here. I don't know if it was the Busch rubber or what happened. But, it was an OK lap. It's not what we were hoping for. It's about two and a half tenths slower than we practiced, but we'll take it."

BOBBY LABONTE, NO. 18 INTERSTATE BATTERIES PONTIAC GRAND PRIX (8th):

"A lot of guys slowed down from practice to qualifying, but we didn't slow down that much, so that was good. It still wasn't quite as comfortable as we would like to see it, but everything went good. I just wish we had one more time out, but I think everybody else would say the same thing."
