JOE NEMECHEK, NO. 10 VALVOLINE PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
"The Valvoline Pontiac is good. At the beginning of the race, I just had to take my time and get the feel. The car has a good feel to it. I just had to get used to. It's one of those things that it's just a little bit different than what I've ever had here and it just took some laps to get to it. But the car is awesome. I think we've got a shot at winning this race.
"I think this break will actually be an advantage for me, since I hadn't been in the car before tonight. Now, I have an idea what to expect - how hard I can horse the car and that kind of thing. I've just kind of been in cruise-mode, trying not to knock the fenders off. But, it's been really good. We've been able to go when we need to go.
"We just need some clear track. If we can get some clear track, we'll be gone."
STACY COMPTON, NO. 14 CONSECO PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
IS THE TRACK ANY BETTER THAN LAST NIGHT?
"No. It's one groove. We got hung out and went from 20th to 35th. We got hung outside and just couldn't go anywhere.
"It just hasn't opened up, yet. The track is just a lot faster right now than it has been in the past and nobody wants to venture up there.
"I can tell you there are going to be some people searching tomorrow because this place changes as much from night to day as Charlotte does. Yesterday in (BGN) 'Happy Hour' our car was absolutely awesome and last night it was so tight we couldn't drive it. If you're good now, you're going to be in trouble tomorrow and if you're junk now, you might be OK."
