TRAFFIC ALERT: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 AT RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

Richmond, VA (September 6, 2008)--Guests attending the Emerson Radio 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Sunday, September 7, scheduled for 7:00 p.m., are encouraged to arrive at Richmond International Raceway no later than 4:00 p.m., due to the egress of traffic following the 1:00 p.m. start of the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.

Track officials, working with Henrico County Police, are anticipating a heavy egress of traffic following the Chevy Rock & Roll 400, which may cause lane modifications for guests entering Richmond International Raceway for the Emerson Radio 250.

Additionally, track officials are encouraging guests attending the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 to arrive early to avoid anticipated heavy traffic. Richmond International Raceway's parking lots will open at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Guests are encouraged to avoid Wilkinson Road, due to the closure of one lane for bridge repair. Please note that travel routes are subject to change throughout the day by the Henrico County Police Department based on traffic conditions.

As of 3:00 p.m., there have been no road closures in Henrico County. Guests can stay tuned to WRVA 1140 AM for traffic updates.

Track and county officials appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to efficiently get all guests in and out of Richmond International Raceway property in a safe and timely manner.
