DAVID REUTIMANN, No. 00 Aaron's Dream Machine Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing
Starting Position: 5th
How was your car in practice today and how was your qualifying lap? "We had a pretty good practice with the Aaron's Dream Machine and we were just a little too free on our second lap. We couldn't be as productive as we needed to be and missed it a little bit. All in all, pretty good effort for the guys. We unloaded good, I made some smart changes and I feel like this is probably the best car we've ever had here. I am kind of disappointed though, I feel like we should have been better in qualifying. We got loose on our second lap and it cost us some time. When you have opportunities to get poles, you want to get them. When you miss them, it bums you out."
Will you approach these final 11 races differently not being in the Chase? "It's our own fault for not getting in the Chase. It's a situation where we just go out here and race hard like we have been. I'm not going to approach anything any different. It may give us a chance to take some different chances and gamble a little bit on occasion when we probably wouldn't. Other than that, I think its business as usual for us."
JOEY LOGANO, No. 20 Home Depot Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 6th
How was your qualifying lap? "It was okay. Our Home Depot Toyota just didn't do what I expected it to do when I went out there. I just had to adjust my line after the first lap to make time. My first lap was faster and then I lost a lot in turn four on the second lap so that's interesting to me. I have a few questions for myself right now."
How did your car handle in practice? "We made a lot of gains for sure. We weren't very good in the first practice and then made some good changes in between practices and it was a lot better. A whole new race car really. It felt a lot better. I feel like we made some gains for that and I'm excited about tomorrow. Our car in race trim is pretty good."
MARCOS AMBROSE, No. 47 Kingsford/Kroger Toyota Camry, JTG-Daugherty
Starting Position: 13th
How has your race car been today in practice and qualifying? "We've had a good practice, good qualifying here. I overdrove it a little bit so we'll have to wait and see what happens for the race. I'm pretty excited for our chances. We have a good handling race car and this has been one of our better weekends so far."
DENNY HAMLIN, No. 11 FedEx Office Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 14th
How was your qualifying lap? "It wasn't as good as what we expected, but we just weren't very good in qualifying trim today. We really worked in race trim quite a bit and we feel like we made gains on that, but qualifying is not really my forte."
Are your expectations different when you come to Richmond compared to other tracks? "Our expectations are always higher when we come to Richmond. I feel like I try as much as any race track. It's just when I come here to Richmond there are a lot of fans in the stands and a lot of expectations. It's no more pressure than what I put on myself."
