Kasey Kahne discusses hosting the NYC first responders, visiting the 9/11 Memorial and racing at Richmond:

The No. 9 Budweiser Ford will feature the 2011 World Police & Fire Games at Richmond and you're going to have some special guests this weekend. "We've got a few police officers and firefighters coming down from New York to join us this weekend for a special program promoting the 2011 World Police & Fire Games. It's a big event that will be held in New York City next year right before the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11. This year the race at Richmond falls on Sept. 11, so it'll be an honor to have those guys here with us on a day that holds a lot of significance to them and to the rest of the country."

You toured the 9/11 Memorial at Ground Zero in July. What was your take on the memorial? "It's really unbelievable just how big the area is, how much work that's going on and the pride that they're putting into it. It's just first class. It's so nice and it's going to mean a lot to a lot of these people that lost loved ones. And I think for all of us just to be a part of it and (check it out was) pretty amazing."

What are your thoughts on running at Richmond this weekend? "My first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory came at Richmond, so I always look forward to going back. It is the ideal short track - wide, fast, smooth, very competitive and there's plenty of room to set up a pass. We've had pretty good success there in the past."
