Carl Edwards on racing at Richmond International Raceway:
"Richmond is a fun racetrack. We ran fifth there in the first race this year so I feel like we've got a really good shot at going there and competing for a victory. It'll be a purely fun race with no real stress because we've already made the Chase. It's an opportunity to go there and have a good time and try to get a victory for Kellogg's. We've clinched a spot in the Chase so we definitely don't have to go in there with the stress we've had in the years past. That was one of our goals for the season and we've accomplished it. I'm really proud of my guys."
Crew chief Bob Osborne on racing at Richmond International Raceway:
"It is great going into Richmond and already being locked in the Chase. That allows us to focus on winning, and not worry about being conservative just to get the finish we need instead of the finish we want. We got a top five in Richmond in May and I feel our cars are much more competitive now than they were then, so our hope is to contend for the win Saturday night. We came close in Atlanta last week so hopefully this will be our week."
* Carl Edwards will make his 13th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start at Richmond International Raceway this weekend in the Air Guard 400.
* THE CHASE IS ON...With a second-place finish at Atlanta last weekend, Edwards is locked into the 2010 Chase for the Sprint Cup. He is fifth in the points with six top-five and 13 top-10 finishes. This will mark Edwards' fifth appearance in the Chase in six full seasons of Cup competition.
* ON THE TRACK... The No. 99 team will be bringing chassis RK-570 to Richmond this weekend. This chassis raced at Richmond in May when Edwards finished fifth. It will also have a new Cheez-It paint scheme for the second Kellogg's race of the season.
