Sadler on Richmond: "I love going to Richmond. I consider it my home track so there will be plenty of family and friends on hand to watch this Saturday night and of course all the great fans. They'll definitely see some good short-track racing under the lights.
"Our No. 19 Richard Petty Motorsports Ford Fusion was so strong last weekend at Talladega. I hated that we got stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time and it ended our day early. We're motivated and eager to get back at it this weekend. We'll really pay close attention to our qualifying setup in practice as track position is very important. We'll have to make sure our Reynolds Ford Fusion starts out ahead and my crew I know will make each pit stop perfect so we don't get behind on pit road.
"Between my son Wyatt being at home, racing at my home track in front of family and friends, and yes, my birthday on Friday, this would be the perfect place to get this No. 19 Reynolds Ford Fusion into Victory Lane. I can't think of a better place or way to celebrate."
Crew Chief Wally Rogers' Thoughts on Richmond: "Richmond is a cool short-track. I really like racing here. We will have to watch the changing track conditions. Like at Phoenix, we practice and qualify during the day but race into the night and under the lights. It can be tricky, but we'll make sure this No. 19 Ford can be adjusted to accommodate those changing conditions.
"Track position is definitely important at Richmond. Hopefully we can be one of the first cars to make our qualifying run and nail a good starting position. Starting closer to the front will be a huge benefit as the race gets underway. This No. 19 crew has been on their game as far as pit stops go. We'll need to keep our focus and keep up the good stops Saturday night so we don't get behind there."
Chassis History: The No. 19 Reynolds Ford Fusion team led by crew chief Wally Rogers have prepared chassis No. 270 for this weekend's event at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway. This machine is a new Ford Fusion specifically prepared for the event.
Notes: To celebrate Autism Awareness month, Sadler will wear a specially designed Autism Speaks helmet during this Saturday night's race. Following the race, the helmet will be auctioned off to benefit the Sadler Foundation.
