Carl Edwards on racing at Richmond International Raceway:
"I've always enjoyed racing at Richmond, although I don't really have the results to show for it. We have a special Scotts EZ Seed paint scheme this weekend and the gold will really look great under the lights. I'm encouraged by the progress we've made with our short-track package so far this season. We had solid runs at Martinsville and Bristol so I'm excited to run 400 laps at Richmond Saturday night."
Crew chief Bob Osborne on racing at Richmond International Raceway:
"Richmond is a difficult track and we've never had the best results there. I feel like we've made some progress on our short-track program. We got top-10 finishes at Bristol and Martinsville last month, so hopefully what we learned there will carry over to Richmond as well. It's a challenge to get the set-up just right when we practice in the day and race at night, but we'll work on it throughout the race to get it where it needs to be."
* Carl Edwards will make his 12th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start at Richmond International Raceway this weekend in the Crown Royal 400.
* FOR THE RECORD... Edwards has just three top-10 finishes at Richmond. He has led 15 laps and completed 95 percent of the laps he has attempted at the 0.75-mile D-shaped oval. Richmond is second best on Edwards' list for average starting position at 12.4, however fourth worst on his list of average finishes at 18.6.
* ON THE TRACK... The No. 99 team will be bringing chassis RK-570 to Richmond this weekend. This chassis raced at Martinsville in October '09, where Edwards finished 20th. The car will have a Scotts Ez Seed gold paint scheme for the fifth of six Scotts races this season.
* STANDINGS... Edwards is currently 13th in Sprint Cup point standings. He trails Jimmie Johnson by 256 points, but is only 15 points out of 12th place. He has achieved four top-10 finishes this season.
