JOHNNY BENSON, NO. 10 VALVOLINE PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
ON YOUR LAP 60 INCIDENT
"I guess I cut a right front tire. I was real surprised, as loose as the car was, that we'd have a problem up there. I don't know if it was something we ran over or what the deal was. Things were running pretty smooth there. The Valvoline Pontiac was good. It was just before I got to turn one, it went down on the rim, so I'm not sure what happened."

RON HORNADAY, NO. 14 CONSECO PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
ON YOUR LAP 162 INCIDENT
"The track is real slick and I don't know if anybody knew whether or not they could go up there (to the high groove). We got our Conseco Pontiac better and better. We finally got it running. We were just trying to stay up top to see if we could get something working up there because the track was real slick on the bottom. Stacy Compton didn't see me there and I got into the fence.

"It's amazing how the car climbed the wall. It bent a shock or something, but I can't believe this thing climbed the wall that easy. I don't know if the wall is leaned out or what. Usually you can bounce off of it, come back and you're all right. But that thing climbed and bent a shock or something in the rear end."

TONY STEWART, NO. 20 HOME DEPOT PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
ON YOUR RUN
"Every yellow that came out, we got tight for about 10 laps. Every caution that came out there late just made our car tighter and tighter in the center. The Home Depot guys did a good job and the Pontiac drove good. The motor department has really been working hard trying to gain us back some horsepower we lost early in the year, and they did a great job today.

"It was a long day. I got a really tore up race car there at the end."

GREG ZIPADELLI, CREW CHIEF, NO. 20 HOME DEPOT PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
ON YOUR RUN
"We had a good car at the beginning. The track changed a little bit and we didn't maybe adjust on it as much as we needed to. We did, but what we did maybe just wasn't as much as what we needed.

"Track position killed us all day. We just couldn't get up there. We were in the top five most of the afternoon, but lapped cars and our pit selection from qualifying poorly - those things hurt us and it's hard to overcome those few things.

"I'm proud of everybody at Joe Gibbs Racing and on this Home Depot Pontiac for bringing us back into the top five after the last couple of weeks. We've just got to get rolling again. We've got a lot of good races coming up and hopefully we can turn it around there."

BOBBY LABONTE, NO. 18 INTERSTATE BATTERIES PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
ON YOUR RUN
"A top 10 is pretty good, especially after last weekend where we didn't finish at all. The guys did a great job.

"It was kind of a typical Loudon deal. It was hard to pass. If you were on the bottom and got up a little bit out of the groove, it's tough to get back down there. But we started 35th and finished seventh, so I guess it wasn't too bad."

WAS THE SEALER THE REASON FOR ONLY HAVING ONE RACING GROOVE?
"No. I've been here about 20 times and it's always been the same way. I don't care what they do, it's going to be about the same way. The sealer was pretty good. There was a lot of rubber built up on it and you could get some good grip up off the corner. But, that just made it worse as far as making it a one-groove deal."

HOW BAD DID YOUR SPIN IMPACT YOUR FINISH?
"It really didn't flat spot the tires. I don't know if you can flat-spot the tires here that bad. I just did a little 360 over there after I got hit and came back. I actually got a chance to pass a lot of them back, so I kind of got back to where we started. All in all, we just lost some track position on it. We didn't really make it up until some other people had problems, but it was still a good day for the Interstate Batteries Pontiac. We had a good, fast race car. We just couldn't get much track position. That last run was the worst run, but other than that, it was pretty good all day."
