Johnny Benson comes to Kansas wheeling the same chassis he drove to a third place finish in the Brickyard 400 and a fifth at Pocono the week before that. Benson, who is 10th in the NASCAR Winston Cup standings, tested here on Sept. 10.

Rookie Ron Hornaday is looking for his fourth top 10 start in the past five races this weekend at Kansas. The driver of the Conseco Pontiac is behind the wheel of the chassis that qualified 10th and ran as high as third at Richmond in early September.

No. 18
Interstate Batteries Pontiac driver Bobby Labonte enters this weekend's event at Kansas ranked ninth in the Winston Cup points. Labonte is driving the same chassis that carried him to a 19th place finish at Michigan International Speedway in August.

No. 20
Home Depot Grand Prix driver Tony Stewart, who scored his 11th top five finish of the season last weekend at Dover, ran among the top three most of the day at Indianapolis back in August with this chassis. Stewart's fifth-place run last week elevated him to third in the Winston Cup standings, 412 out of first.

No. 27
Rick Mast will look to improve on a season-best 14th place finish this weekend at Kansas with a brand new chassis underneath the Save-A-Lot Pontiac.

No. 36
The chassis underneath Ken Schrader has spent a lot of time in and around the top 10 when it has competed this season. Schrader ran solidly among the top 10 with in the Coke 600 and then finished ninth with it one month later at Pocono. Its last race was at Pocono in July, when Schrader qualified fourth and finished 17th.
