MUSGRAVE IS FUELED UP FOR POCONO
Pocono, PA -- Ted Musgrave and the entire No. 75 Remington Arms Ford team are anxious to return to Pocono this weekend. They are looking to improve their 11th place finish in the Pocono 500 earlier this year.
Pocono's spring event was a very "eventful" event for Butch Mock Motorsports. The #75 Remington Arms Ford came home with many bumps and bruises as a result of three different incidents on the track. Musgrave always seemed to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. The team became discouraged after being penalized on pit road during green flag conditions. At one point, the No. 75 was running as low as 37th. However, Musgrave quickly moved his way through the field with lap times consistent to the leaders. At the end, many teams were forced to stop for fuel, but the No. 75 had enough to run until the checkered flag, and the team had a new crew member named "fuel mileage".
"We have a great car to bring to Pocono," said Musgrave. "We should have had a solid top 10 finish during the spring race here earlier this year, but we were mixed up in so many wrecks. We had to make pit stops throughout the race to pull on sheet metal. Whenever I'd make up some positions, a wreck would collect us. I guess we were lucky in the end because the worse wreck came with six laps to go, causing grill damage, but we managed to make it through the end. We are bringing our secret weapon with us again=85FUEL MILEAGE."
"It really makes you feel good when other crew chiefs and owners are coming over to you asking you how you do it," said crew chief Jon Wolfe regarding fuel mileage at Pocono. "Fuel mileage has not been a problem for us so far this year. We know we can run good here, because Ted ran the wheels off of this car here in June. We already have fuel mileage on our side, we just need luck to run with us."
A good car, strong engine, excellent fuel mileage, plus Musgrave's impressive career stats at Pocono could be a winning combination for the #75 Remington Arms Ford team this weekend.
