Texaco/Havoline Racing Fast Facts:
* Chassis #208: Crew Chief Donnie Wingo and the Texaco/Havoline team are bringing chassis #208 to compete in the Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono Raceway. Chassis #208 is the same car McMurray scored a seventh-place finish with last weekend at New Hampshire International Speedway.
* McMurray Notes: McMurray heads into Pocono sitting 13th in NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points, 134 points out of the NASCAR Top 10. The Joplin, Mo. native has posted four top-five and 10 top-10 finishes through the first 19 races of the 2004 season. McMurray qualified 14th and finished ninth in his most recent visit to Pocono Raceway last month (6/13/04).
* Rain, Rain, Go Away: Mother Nature played havoc with NASCAR NEXTEL Cup teams this past week as rain washed out testing at Watkins Glen. McMurray and the Texaco/Havoline team were hoping to test in preparation for the upcoming race at the road course.
Jamie McMurray Quotes:
Pocono Thoughts: "I'm excited about heading back to Pocono. We're taking the same car we ran seventh with last weekend in Loudon. We had a good run going at Pocono last time, finishing ninth. I don't have a lot of experience at that track, so I look forward to each time we get to race there so I can gain more experience. It's a fun track to race on because each turn and even the straight-aways are each different."
"We're getting to crunch time with the points race. I mean we finished good last weekend in Loudon, but still didn't gain a lot of ground on the top 10 because most of those guys had good runs too. We're definitely going to have to continue to step it up a notch each week in order to get this Texaco/Havoline Dodge in the Chase for the Championship. I feel like we can continue to bring it up a level this weekend in Pocono."
