Carl Edwards on racing at Pocono Raceway:
"We are coming off a very strong race in Indy and our best of the year as a team. This holds well for us going into Pocono. I have a lot of confidence going to a similar track and we are carrying lots of momentum into this weekend. It's one of my favorite tracks and we have enjoyed success there. It would be great to take Aflac to Victory Lane this weekend."
Crew Chief Bob Osborne on racing at Pocono Raceway:
"Pocono is the most unique race track we go to on the circuit. It is a challenging race track, but I enjoy racing there. With three different corners and a very long straightaway, there is a fine line between being good and being good enough to win. It takes a series of compromises to the setup to run fast there. Our program has really turned a corner and gained some momentum in the last few races, so I'm very optimistic that we will run better than the 12th-place we got at Pocono in June."
ON THE TRACK... The No. 99 team will be unloading chassis RK-639 this weekend. This is the same Ford Fusion that Edwards raced at Charlotte in May and finished 16th.
STANDINGS... Edwards is currently 10th in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series point standings. He trails leader Kevin Harvick by 424 points.
DOUBLE DUTY...This will be another weekend Edwards will have a split schedule between different tracks. He will also be competing in the Nationwide race Saturday in Iowa.
