RYAN NEWMAN (No. 12 Alltel Dodge Charger)
"It wasn't too horrible considering it was a backup car. We showed signs of being a lot better than 12th, and we showed signs of being a lot worse than 12th. We'll take the Alltel Dodge to Homestead and see if we can run better down there. We're mathematically out of first place, but we can always be the first loser (second). You just keep going and run as hard as you can and where you end up is where you end up. You have fun racing, especially when you're going forward, but in the end it's just another day at the office. Travis Kvapil and the 77 guys did a good job today. He had the only Dodge in the top 10, and I see two Dodges in the top 15. That's not real sporty."
TRAVIS KVAPIL (No. 77 Kodak/Jasper Dodge Charger)
"We didn't qualify that well, but I thought the car would be good in the race. The guys did a great job today and we managed to stay out of trouble and get a good finish. That's what this team needed. After 10 or 15 laps the car would take off and we were as good as anybody out there. We've had top 10 cars before and didn't get the finish to show it. This feels great, and it's something to build on going to Homestead and for next season. Congratulations to Kyle Busch for winning. It just goes to show these Raybestos rookies had something to say about the outcome of the race today. I wish we could have been first instead of 10th, but it was a pretty good day all things considered, and I'm proud we could carry the banner for Kodak and Jasper, and we also had the highest finishing Dodge today, so it's great to be best in class."
RUSTY WALLACE (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger)
"I think we were eighth on that last restart, but we had a vibration and had to pit under green and that was all she wrote as far as getting a good finish. We've had terrible luck these past few weeks, but we'll go to Homestead and battle to the end. I'm sure I'll have mixed emotions next week, but we'll try as hard as we can to go out a winner."
JEREMY MAYFIELD (No. 19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger)
"We didn't have a good day. The 25 car got into us and we got into the wall pretty hard. It was a long day. We weren't good the whole time here. We got better as the day went on, and the last couple of weeks haven't been good for us. It's time to go back to the drawing board I think."
KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger)
"They got the car better. They made it so it was loose and you could control the back with the throttle and get it to turn. It was good for 20 laps and then the nose would slide. We've run this setup before this year and ran good with it. We were decent at the end of the day. It has potential, but we need to make some more adjustments and get everything else better."
TOMMY BALDWIN (Crew Chief No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger)
"I thought we were pretty good at the end. We were probably a top eight car, but we're learning with this stuff. It takes a lot of stuff to get it right. Kasey did a good job keeping his head on straight when it was so bad. We've just got keep working. We learned a lot in the Miami test, and we're anxious to get there."
