DAVID GILLILAND -- No. 38 M&M's Ford Fusion (Finished 28th)
"I don't know. It's a shame for our M&M's Ford Fusion. We had Shrek on the hood this weekend and had a great car. We were good in practice, had a good qualifying run and we were looking forward to a good, solid night tonight. It looked like I think the 42 car just got in there -- it was the first corner and he just got in the back of us and turned us. It's a shame. We had a great car, but we'll take it for what it is and I'm looking forward to coming back here to Charlotte. We have a good car and I think we've got a better one to bring back for the 600, so that's where our focus is now."
IT MUST BE MORE DISAPPOINTING NOT TO GET 40 LAPS IN TONIGHT AT LEAST FOR A TEST SESSION. "Yeah, our M&M's Ford Fusion was good and we just didn't get to show it tonight. It was nothing we did as a team or nothing I did as a driver, it's just the way this sport is. There are so many things that can happen that are out of your control. Juan Pablo just got in there a little too hard, I think, and caused a big accident. I've never been in these kind of races before and I guess that's just maybe the way it is."
JON WOOD -- No. 21 U.S. Air Force Ford Fusion (Finished 32nd)
"I guess I can't say my only bad luck is in the Busch car. With this race you have to expect that. I would say the first corner of the first lap was maybe a little early, but the fans boo Juan Pablo for a reason and a prime example of that was tonight."
WHAT DID YOU SEE FROM WHERE YOU WERE? "I saw Juan Pablo making it three-wide and wrecking on his own. On the initial start everybody is so close together that you just can't do that."
DAVID RAGAN -- No. 6 AAA Ford Fusion (Finished 22nd)
"The outside groove had been working great for me the first few restarts and I jumped down on the bottom and Martin just got a great run on the outside. I just didn't have any air there on the right side, got loose and tried to be a superstar and hang on, but I couldn't. I feel like I let these AAA guys down. They brought a pretty good race car for me today and I feel like we had a shot to maybe beat Carl and definitely finish second, but I screwed up. I'll have to learn from that and try not to let it happen again."
HAS THE TRACK CHANGED? "No, it hadn't changed. The race track was the way it had been. I felt like the track's got a lot of grip and I was probably too assured of myself and the race car. I should have never let the 1 car jump on the outside. That outside groove had been working just fine for me and I should have never jumped down there and we wouldn't be sitting in here right now."
CARL EDWARDS -- No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion (Finished 3rd)
"It's disappointing. It's awesome that Sauter made it in there and Kenny Wallace and Martin Truex. They did a great job. That car, that's the tightest race car I've ever had. We tried some stuff and it did not work. I don't know. It's just so frustrating to have a lead like that and then just have the car get so tight, but that's the way it goes."
YOU WERE LOOKING UNDER THE HOOD. DID YOU LOSE POWER? "No, I was looking at where the tires were rubbing the fenders. I was just seeing how hard they were rubbing the fenders." DO YOU THINK IT WAS A TIRE ISSUE THAT MADE YOU TIGHT? "It was just extremely, extremely tight. That's it. If I could make an adjustment, I'd raise the track bar 10 rounds. It was that tight."
JAMIE MCMURRAY -- No. 26 Crown Royal Ford Fusion (Finished 10th)
DID YOU LEARN ANYTHING FOR NEXT WEEK? "We learned not to bring this car back. We tested with this car and our 600 car, and our 600 car is quite a bit better. We went back and changed a lot of things on this and did some aero and mechanical stuff, but we had the same problems we had at the test. Starting in the back hurt us, but even if we would have been up front, we didn't have a car fast enough."
RICKY RUDD -- No. 88 Snickers Ford Fusion (Finished 5th)
"We were tight, tight, tight. I thought we were gonna be free enough in practice because we tried to practice in the heat of the day and we gauged off our test the other nice and it took a lot of changes to get it freed up tonight. This car didn't get tested. We tested two different cars and didn't bring either one of them back. Our 600 car got a lot of night practice and day practice, so I feel comfortable about that, but we just never got this car to free up. It was just way too tight and it wouldn't turn."
